Meet Tamela: Your guide to self-love and inner peace

Discover the woman behind The Holistic Weaver Tamela and understand the journey that shaped her mission to empower women to rediscover their authentic selves.

My journey: From recovery to purpose

Tamela's work is deeply rooted in lived experience. She spent 18 years in addiction and the last 10 years in recovery — a journey that completely transformed how she related to herself, her emotions and life. Recovery didn’t just change her habits; it rebuilt her identity and taught her how to truly come back to herself.

That lived experience is the foundation of her work as a Somatic Mind-Body Coach, author of The Good Girl Unlearning: Let Her Rest and the creator of unique modality Breathe 'N' Jam©. Tamela specializes in nervous system regulation and chronic overfunctioning.

Today, she is a women's advocate helping women who feel stuck in self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and inconsistency learn how to build self-trust, emotional confidence, and real self-love habits that last. Her mission is simple: To help women stop abandoning themselves and start living in alignment with who they truly are.

Beyond the work: My heartfelt passions

Beyond her work, Tamela is deeply passionate about supporting women in remembering who they are beneath the conditioning, expectations, and self-doubt. She cares about growth in its most honest form — the kind that asks you to be real with yourself, to heal what’s been avoided, and to choose yourself consistently, even in small ways.

Self-love is at the center of everything she does, not as a concept, but as a daily practice of self-trust, emotional awareness, and alignment. Tamela is also passionate about creating spaces where women feel safe to be seen, to release what they’ve carried, and to rebuild a relationship with themselves that feels grounded, loving, and sustainable. This is one of her reasons for creating The Good Girl Unlearning Foundation. A non-profit that she is currently building to help women who desire holistic healing yet face financial barriers by providing Healing Scholarships, low to no cost women's circles, retreats, yoga, breathwork and meditation classes

Transformation is what Tamela is about

Tamela's hopes to help women create a deeper connection with themselves so they can feel more emotionally grounded, self-aware, and aligned in their daily lives. Her intention is for women to experience more fulfillment—not just in their goals and dreams, but in how they show up for themselves and their relationships.

When women begin to trust themselves again, they start building lives that feel more intentional, balanced, and meaningful. They communicate better, set healthier boundaries, reconnect with their families in a more present way, and move forward with their dreams from a place of clarity instead of self-doubt.

The change is internal first—and then it naturally transforms how they live, love, and lead their lives.

"Tamela's guidance has been life-changing. Her authentic approach helped me overcome self-doubt and build lasting self-love habits."
